MV Cominoland
Nestled off the coast of Gozo, in the Mediterranean Sea, lies the MV Cominoland dive site. It's a sunken ferry that used to shuttle between Malta and Gozo until it was intentionally sunk in 2006. Now, it's a popular spot for divers to explore.
The wreck lies about 30 to 42 meters below the surface. This makes it a dive site suitable for experienced divers who are comfortable with deeper dives.
When you dive down to the MV Cominoland, you'll find yourself surrounded by the remains of the former cruise ferry. Its corridors and cabins are spacious and bright, making for a great introduction to wreck penetration. Divers are likely to see a variety of marine life, like groupers, barracudas, moray eels and colourful nudibranch. The wreck itself is covered in sponges, corals, and other underwater plants.
Visibility at the MV Cominoland dive site is usually extremely good. This makes it perfect for any budding of experienced photographers!
Exploring the MV Cominoland is like taking a journey back in time. It's a chance to see how nature has reclaimed this man-made structure and turned it into a thriving underwater ecosystem.
Whether you're a seasoned diver or just starting out, the MV Cominoland dive site offers an exciting adventure beneath the waves. It's an experience you won't soon forget.
